Little Gems you are fantastic! Your homework is amazing! All the staff are so pleased with you and you deserve your extra merits so much. Thank you too to all the parents for your support. Your reception teachers are going to be so pleased with you if you carry on like this.
Please let your child show you our display about France when you bring them to nursery.
We are going to try some French food this week, the children look horrified until I promised them NO snails or frogs legs.

Little Gems will now be learning the name and sound of each letter of the alphabet. This week they will be learning s, a, t, p, i. They will also be learning the Jolly Phonic sound and action for each letter. If you would like to practice at home, they can be found on the internet under jolly phonic songs. For each letter the children will be asked to think of words they can hear the sound in e.g. Sat, sing, house, cats.
I will put up next week’s letters by the end of the week. The children can help you with the actions.

After I discussed with Mrs Cousins the concerns some parents have it has been decided that the girls can wear navy or black shorts/cropped trousers instead of a dress in the summer. The girls will need to wear a white polo shirt with the shorts. Can I also remind you that the children should be wearing black trainers or plimsolls preferably with a velcro fastening.
